If you haven’t heard of Monoprice, it might be worth taking a look. Named by Newsweek as one of the best online shops in 2020, Monoprice offers over 7,000 quality and affordable electronics at a fraction of marketplace prices. Case in point: Their Strata Home Sous Vide Immersion Cooker. Efficient and inexpensive at $71.99, this 1,100-watt version is an update to Monoprice’s first model, which was offered at 800 watts. In addition to added power, the new model—which is comparable to Anova’s Precision Cookers—features a new sleek design, an adjustable clip, a digital touchscreen interface, and a wheel for setting the temperature and timer. The lower price means you’ll forgo any sort of wireless connection—all the controls are manual.

If you’re looking for a budget-friendly water oven, check out Monoprice’s Strata Home Sous Vide Water Oven with Rack. Most all-in-one countertop bath ovens start at $300, so this model, at only $99.99, is quite the bargain. It offers a magnetic-driven circulation system, a touch display system, and a large, 8.5-quart capacity to allow you to cook family-sized portions with ease. The removable rack lets you organize your sous vide bags inside the pot. However, at 700 watts, it will take around 20 minutes to heat the water to your desired temperature. But at that price, it might be well worth the wait.
