SKS Dual-Fuel Pro Range

High-end appliance brand Signature Kitchen Suite launches the industry’s only pro-style range with built-in sous vide capability.

With all the high-tech cooking gadgets hitting the market, your kitchen counters may be looking a bit crowded. Enter Signature Kitchen Suite (SKS), a new luxury brand from LG, which caters to a generation of forward-thinking cooks it calls “Technicureans.” That is, people who combine a passion for food with an appreciation for innovation. The brand’s 48-inch Dual-Fuel Pro Range is the first professional range that features sous vide cooking built in, tucking the water bath neatly in line with your countertops.

SKS removed the need for traditional water circulation by engineering a 800W sous vide cooktop featuring a magnetic, airtight lid and temperature control that’s precise within one degree. Coupled with the range’s gas and induction cooktops and two ovens (one 18-inch steam/convection oven and one 30-inch convection oven), the appliance can cook foods from stews to steaks to soufflés with ease. Plus, the range is WiFi-enabled: You can control it via an iPhone/Android app, and can also sign up to have the manufacturer remotely monitor the range and notify you if something is amiss. You’ll want to register your range—once you do, the manufacturer gifts a vacuum-sealer, not otherwise included.

The groundbreaking 48-inch Dual-Fuel Pro Range is already winning industry and design awards. In 2018, it won multiple Red Dot Awards for design. Additionally, the range was recognized at the 2019 Kitchen & Bath Industry Show with a Best of KBIS – Kitchen Gold award, as well as Kitchen Product of the Year in Kitchen & Bath Business’ 2018 Product Innovator Awards.

Ensuring that it is delivering technology that delivers perfect results, SKS has also joined forces with Cuisine Solutions and the Culinary Research & Education Academy (CREA). Cuisine Solutions’ mobile and presentation kitchens will feature SKS ranges, and the trio will also collaborate on culinary events around the world, including a sous vide curriculum at a newly launched Experience & Design Center in Napa, CA. The facility will explore the intersection between technology and culinary innovation.
